Volunteers needed at our I Am a Hero Games
Station Leaders: we are looking for volunteers who are able to run one of the five stations of our Hero Games. Chinese reading skills are preferred, but not essential.
Buddies: Every child has a ‘buddy’ that stays with them for the entire Hero Games. As a buddy, your job would be to make sure that the child gets to the correct event on time, but more importantly, to cheer for them and make them feel special the entire day!
Fundraising/Grant-writing
If you have experience in fundraising or writing grants and want to get involved in Taiwan Sunshine, please let us know. We need help raising funds to bring outstanding programs to our children.
Sponsorship for ‘I Am a Hero Games’: we are looking for opportunities to partner with companies in Taiwan that would be interested in sponsoring the Hero Games. If your company, or a company you know, would like to be involved in this manner, please let us know contact us.
Media Opportunities
Chinese website development: since our primary target is Chinese families, we want to make sure that they can actually understand what we are doing. We need someone to help us with website development (technical) and content (writing.)
Promotional materials: if you are a creative design person, we need your help too. We would like to have several different types of promotional materials to distribute in both English and Chinese. Thanks to technology, this can done from anywhere in the world.
Informational videos: As we seek to get the word out we’re also looking for someone who can edit and create a first class multimedia production that showcases what our program are all about. If you have multimedia/video editing skills, please let us know. We would love to have 4-5 different videos for different audiences. If you don’t live in Taiwan and still want to help, we can get video clips to you and tell you what some of our ideas are. Please just let us know if you’re interested!
Working with Kids (Taitung only)
We also have various opportunities to work work kids outside of our regular events. Please understand that all volunteers that work directly with children will need to fill out a questionnaire and sign a child safety agreement form.
